I don't know if you've noticed, but the country is completely fucked up right now.  We're "not" in a war in Iraq, gas prices are skyrocketing and we're in the grips of the worst natural disaster to ever hit this country.  I don't mean to be an old man or anything, but this is not the time to be carefree.  We have to assert ourselves as Americans to make the best of this situation.  While we still are the most prosperous and efficent country on earth, we are pretty fucked up right now.  So please, do what you can to make things easier for others in a worse predicament than you.  Donate money to the Red Cross, volunteer to send food to starving people in New Orleans and abroad, just do what you can to make the world a little less shitty for everybody else.  Thsi is your hoem country, be proud of it, and if you don't agree with what's going on, as I don't, just push for change.  You'll never be heard if you're not talking.
