Musical Influences: John Kiffmeyer a.k.a Al Sobrante (Green Day's first drummer). Tre Cool (Green Day's current drummer. First real song I learned on drums was "Waiting") Numerous teachers who have tried to get me to play their way, "the right way."

Started playing drums when he was 7 with his first set. During eighth grade he smashed it to bits and bought a new set which soon became the one he uses now. The Flukes is the only thing he wants to do with his life and if he could, would play 24-7.

Chris K. on his musical 'career',
"When I was younger, I was never eally into music. It was just there, something I didn't really care about it. Then, when I was 7, my parents told me to choose an instrument to play. You see, music was a big thing to my father and still is. To this day I'm not sure why I chose the drums. But that's what I chose, so that day my parents bought me a full size set and got me a teacher. I stayed with my teacher for a while, at least 2 years. But after some time I started finding easier ways to do what he wanted me to do and he didn't like it. So I dropped him. I kept playing drums through out elementary school and I joined the school band in middle school. The school band teacher didn't like the way I played either. sixth grade was when I "discovered" music for the first time. I started listening to Alice Cooper exclusively. He became my idol. Listening to his music evetually brought me to listen to even "harder" music like Metallica and Averse Sefira. I really liked that music but something was always missing. It wasn't until 8th grade when I joined The Flukes and we decided to play a cover of 'Waiting' by Green Day that I discivered punk rock. Mike gave me a burned copy of 'Warning' so I could learn it. I listened to that cd over 100 times by the end of the week. That cd was like one of those "gateway drugs" they talk about in D.A.R.E. except for music. That cd introdused me to what was missing before, the type of music that I was looking for. From that day on I have been in love with punk rock and always will be."
