"I hate music.  I hate musicians.  I hate those jerks who think they know more than you 'cause they read a book about it.  I'm not a fuckin' musician.  I'm not even a bass player, I'm a guitar player with a bass.  People talk about music like they know something.  They don't know shit.  They say stupid crap about like minor seventh chords or whatever they're called, but who cares about that.  Those chords sound like shit.  Then they act all high and mighty cause they can play a note in their head and they know what it is.  Yeah, well you can kiss my ass; I don't know shit about music and I'll never learn anything.  But I have soul.  I think that's all you need, is soul.  If you're up there playing a million note solo, but you just care about looking cool and showing off, then get the fuck off the stage.  You suck, your band sucks, no one cares what you're saying.  I mean, this is punk rock.  If you're up there going through the motions and just making sure your guitar is the loudest thing or whatever, then what the fuck are you doing here?  That's what punk rock means to me, just going for it and doing what you love to do."
